Tim,
I think you're right, folks should own up to their
words/opinions, since my husband is concerned with my
safety, I cannot sign my name but the best thing, in
my opinion, is for people to be careful about what they're
thinking AND saying/writing. There is RIGHT & WRONG. I
don't know about this animal toruture thing, maybe it was
supposed to funny, but, funny should be defined by courtesy
and good taste. It could be that all the super "macho"
rugged, (mostly handsome, I might add) tree men out there
should begin practicing good taste and courtesy in your
PRIVATE conversations, what the old folks used to call
gentility (NOT genetalia! Ha!). This is one of the nicest
thing about my husband. He is quite possibly the
bravest, hardest working & MANLIEST men I've ever known
(& I've known a few) but he is also the most respectful &
courteous gentleman I've ever known.
By God's grace, he has lost so much of his pride that
he is better than ever. A real man doesn't have to be cruel
or rude to others.
This is what you get when you let mommies into the
conversation. HA!
