This week I removed a large old Tulip tree , The tree was
loaded with concrete and rebar as high as 80 feet in the air.
Large leaders had some poured in , the trunk was as solid
as a large metal pole . It is obvious that some body spent
allot of time doing this craftmanship , with no regard to
the tree men 20 - 30 years down the road . We had to cut
a notch in the tree with the stump router and when it was
on it's belly we had to use the router to cut the tree in
6- 8 foot sections . We had some idea that there was concrete
in the tree but not to that extent . Is concrete and rebar
a problem in old tree's in your area's ? Is there a clause
in your estimates that save your rear when you come across
this tree care from the past ? People were not thinking
about ever cutting a tree down when they were doing this tree
surgery .
