I challenge any one to to an open debate on the use of spurs in trees. I doubt that I will get any takers most people with internet access are above average intelligence. Therefore finding a climber to argue this might take some time. However if any can come up with just one reason to use them except for removals or a rescue situation. I would love to see it.This is a major problem ,here in fla. Lots of old school climbers still using them every day .Talk about cave dwellers these guys would not have sense to use a cave as shelter,let alone try to climb with out their spikes.
