16-strand splice

I just bought a new 16-strand rope (New England Safety Blue). I want to splice eyes in it. Any suggestions of a good book to learn this technique? Or does anyone know how good the video is that Sherrill's offers (and do you have to buy the special tool to use the video techniques)?
