I am an attending freshman at UW-Stevens Point. This weekend
I was lucky enough to have a chance to attend the 1st Annual
Student Soceity of Arboriculture and experience arboriculture
at its best. This weekend I was able to get tips first hand
from national champion, Ken Palmer. I think it is great what
this group has done to pull these top people together for one
weekend to pass their information on to us. My forestry
intructor suggested I go because I have the climbing bug.
Now, after these last few days my little climbing bug infection
has spread to a raging fire. I can't even come close to
explaining the information and enthusiasm I have received
from this conference. I only hope this bug will spread to
other schools and students like it has done with me. I would
also like to congradulate anyone who contributed to the
conference which made this experience possible. My hat is off
to you all.
