Arbor Project Manager
Location: Kent, WA

Summary: Responsible for the full cycle management of Arbor projects. Ensures that multiple projects meet specified timelines and deliver expected results.
Primary Duties:
- Identify and solicit tree service projects, review client objectives and needs, prepare accurate and complete bid estimates, and manage contracts through closure.
- Develop long-term tree maintenance plans
- Perform inspection and diagnostics of tree care services, including: tree removal, stump grinding, and crown clearing/thinning/raising as needed
- Manage and monitor project schedule, progress, and costs to ensure that expected results are delivered on time and within budget
- Review completed project work to ensure client satisfaction
- Coordinate service calls, client interactions, and sub-contractors as needed
- Communicate status of estimates to Arbor District Manager on a regular basis
- Visit jobs in progress to relate actual estimate; review questions, or problems that may arise
- Add/update project information in CRM software daily
- Assist in scheduling of Arbor projects
- Ensures compliance with all aspects of the company’s safety program and understands the contribution safety makes to employee well-being, team efficiency, and gross profit
- Shows up to work each day on time; completes all tasks within time expectations; adheres to company dress code policy; wears clean clothes to work each day; follows inclement weather policy and sick leave reporting procedures
Supervisory Duties:
- Direct supervision of two or more employees
- Training, planning, assigning, and directing work
- Conflict resolution
Qualifications:
Education
- At least 2 years of professional tree work experience
- At least 3-5 years project management experience
Language Skills
- Ability to speak effectively before employees and customers
- Ability to verbally understand and communicate in English
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
Mathematical Skills
- Understands how to calculate load ratings for tree removal rigging
- Can formulate and calculate unit costing for bidding
- Understands gross margin and what effects it
Reasoning Ability
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out tasks
- Deal with standardized situations and/or hectic situations with calm reasoning skills
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
- Valid driver’s license issued by the state where employed
- Valid ISA Certified Arborist certification preferred
- PMP preferred
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans/drawings
- Knowledge of tree care principles, pruning techniques, tree ID, and disease ID
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills, ensuring client needs are met in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion by demonstrating courtesy, efficiency, and professionalism
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently to complete multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Basic computer skills, including experience with GPS systems, CRM software, and Microsoft Office
