Inventory Control Coordinator

Location: Grandville, MI

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Inventory Control Coordinator position manages inventory utilizing a database and maintains levels required to meet distribution demands.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Fulfilling requests for parts and supplies to both production and maintenance teams.

  • Working with our maintenance and inventory management system, monitor, fill and adjust requests, reorder reports, and inventory levels.

  • Coordinate shipping and receiving of inventory items to support both local and out of state operations as required.

  • Utilizing Fork Lift, Pallet Jacks and other lifting equipment as required.

  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50lbs.

  • Perform both Semi-Annual and “Spot Check” Inventory.

  • Maintain Parts Room and Common Work Area Organization and cleanliness.

  • Assist Inventory Supervisor.

  • Additional Duties as Required.

  • REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma / GED

  • Minimum 1 year of inventory control and parts procurement experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience utilizing an inventory management system

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills using English

  • Experience using a computer including Microsoft Office products

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with heavy machinery parts inventory

  • Experience supporting a geographically spread-out department

  • Experience utilizing Manager+ inventory management system

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position with the occasional need to work overtime.

  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • This job operates in both a professional office environment and a maintenance inventory setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

TRAVEL  Minimal. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
