Mobile Mechanic

Location: Charleston, WV
Salary: $50,000+ Based on Experience

Overnight travel up to 5 days every week. We pay Hotel + Per Diem.  Company service truck provided.  Must have basic tools.   Requires HS diploma or GED, Valid CDL, 3 years of experience with gasoline and diesel engines, air and hydraulic brakes, suspensions, engine transmissions, electronics, tracked and wheeled forestry and construction equipment. Hiring Field Service Mechanics in West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina.

Job Summary

  • Provide expert knowledge and support using technology, tools and other resources to diagnose and repair a large fleet of pickup trucks, semi trucks, heavy equipment, small engines and other industry specific heavy equipment.
  • Exhibiting innovation, organization and effective verbal and written communication with customers, team members, management and vendors.
  • Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot and locate mechanical deficiencies on Heavy Equipment.
  • Source and order parts as needed. Perform repair of mobile equipment in a field environment without supervision.
  • Perform welding and brazing, fabricate and modify parts, equipment, miscellaneous structures as needed.
  • Repair and/or replace all components of engine hydraulic systems, air conditioning systems, suspension systems, drive trains, electrical systems, steering, braking, material handling, and operator comfort systems.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures.
  • Must be willing to travel and work remotely as required including overnight stays.
  • Must comply with all applicable DOT Requirements.
  • Specific experience includes truck-mounted hydraulic utility equipment such as aerial devices, chippers, cranes, land clearance and forestry specialty equipment.
  • Participate in required safety program and work in a safe manner.
  • Company truck provided.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Valid CDL  (Class A preferred).
  • 3 years of experience with gasoline and diesel engines, air/hydraulic brakes, suspensions, engine transmissions, electronics, tracked and wheeled forestry and construction equipment.
  • Overnight travel up to 5 days every week to support areas as needed. We pay hotel and Per Diem.
  • Must have basic tools.
  • Must pass pre-employment hair and urinalysis drug screens, criminal background, Motor Vehicle Record, and DOT physical.
  • Must be able to maintain and promote our drug, alcohol, profanity, tobacco, and gossip free work environment
  • Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English written and verbal job instructions and information
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in U.S.
